Manuals and Publications

In consultation with the CAA (your Flight Operations Inspector, if applicable), and staff within the relevant parts of your organisation, we are able to compile or amend the four-part Operations Manual, required for AOC operations, or generate a document which works for your non-AOC operation.

We have experience in amending and editing manuals in-line with changes in the Operator's demands, or changes in Legislation, and can submit a Notice of Proposed Amendment prior to alteration to the Authority prior for approval, through to amending the document and ensuring the document is distributed in a controlled-manner throughout the organisation.

Throughout, we can not only provide a basic amendment/editing service, but full advice on the contents of the manual, advising you on best-practice, likely changes in legislation, and ensuring that changes recommended are communicated and discussed with the relevant parties in your Company.

Additionally, we can create and publish other publications which may be relevant to your organisation. With our sister organisation, proviation, we have begun creating guides to best practice for GA pilots, and have begun work on publications for GA operations, as well as airlines.

For your organisation, we can, for example, develop Winter Operations Manuals, as well as Safety Manuals and Departmental Procedures Manuals.

For the latter, we encourage development of the Operations Procedures Manual alongside an overall move to a Quality Management System. In creating this document, we map out all the processes in your organisation, subject them to your scrutiny, refine where necessary and lay down these procedures for daily use in the accomplishment of your flying programme. Such manuals are looked upon very favourably by the Regulators.
